John H Sackett, son of Edwin C Sackett and Roba Place, was born in Plymouth, Chenango County, New York StateG, about 1838.1,2 He died aged about 24 in Nashville, Davidson County, TennesseeG, on 9 February 1863 and was buried at Nashville National Cemetery, Madison, Davidson CountyG.2
     In 1850 John was living in St Charles, Kane County, IllinoisG, in the household of his parents Edwin and Ruby, and was recorded in the census as John H Sackett, aged twelve and born in New York.3
     In 1860 he was living in Plato, Kane County, IllinoisG, in the household of his parents Edwin and Robe, and was recorded as John H Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 21.4
     John Sackett served the Union in the American Civil War. He enlisted in Company H, 36th Illinois Infantry, on 14 August 1861. He died in Nashville, TennesseeG, on 9 February 1863 of wounds received at Stones River on 31 December 1862. Somewhat confusingly, he was listed in the July 1863 Civil War draft records in both McHenry and Kane counties, the latter record noting that he had died in service.5,6,7,8

Warren Henry Sackett, son of Martin L Sackett and Florence McLean, was born in Cortland, DeKalb County, IllinoisG, on 2 November 1877.1 He died in IowaG in 1958 and was buried at the Wilson Cemetery, Independence, Buchanan County, IowaG.1 He married in 1919, Myrtle Mae Bantz.1 Myrtle was born in Delaware, Ripley County, IndianaG, on 25 December 1893.1 She died aged 93 in Muncie, Delaware County, IndianaG, on 12 January 1987 and was buried at the Strong Cemetery, DelawareG.1
     In 1880 Warren was living in Clinton, Dekalb County, IllinoisG, and was recorded in the census as Warren H Sackett, aged two and born in Illinois. He was living with his parents Martin and Florence in the household of Martin's widowed father Edwin.2
