Charles Albert Sackett, son of George Henry Sackett and Ellen Charles "Nellie" Grant, was born in West Springfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 9 September 1882.1 He died aged 48 in Agawam, Hampden CountyG, on 22 February 19312 and was buried at Paucatuck Cemetery, West Springfield, Hampden CountyG.3 He married Clara G Arpen, daughter of Zeb J Arpen and Josephine A ___. Clara was born in MassachusettsG in July 1882.3,4 She died aged about 87 in West SpringfieldG in July 1969 and was buried at Paucatuck CemeteryG.3
     In 1900 Charles was living at Cottage Street, West SpringfieldG, in the household of his parents George and Ellen, and was recorded in the census as Charles A Sackett, a typewriter machinist, aged 17 and born in Massachusetts.5
     In 1910 he was living at Harnet Street, SpringfieldG, and was recorded as Charles A Sackett, a railroad signalman, aged 27. His wife Clara, 27, was living with him. They were living in the household of Clara's parents, Zeb and Josephine Arpen.6
     Charles completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was aged 36 and was a storeroom foreman. It was noted under disabilities that he was almost blind in his right eye. He was living at 39 James Avenue, West SpringfieldG, with his wife Clara.7
     In 1920 he was living at James Avenue, West SpringfieldG, and was recorded as A Charles Sackett, a storekeeper on the railroad, head of household, aged 37. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Clara, 37, and their son Grant, aged five. There was also a male boarder in the household.8
     Charles was a member of the Mount Orthodox Lodge of Freemasons from 1920 until his death in 1931.9
     In 1930 he was living at Main Street, Agawam, Hampden CountyG, in the household of Clara's widowed mother Josephine Arpin, 76, and was recorded as Charles Sackett, a railroad inspector, aged 47. Living with him were his wife Clara, 47, and their son Grant, aged 15.10

Elizabeth May Sackett, daughter of George Henry Sackett and Ellen Charles "Nellie" Grant, was born in Springfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 2 November 1885.1,2,3 She died there aged about 52 in 19384 and was buried at Paucatuck Cemetery, West Springfield, Hampden CountyG.2 She married in Enfield, Hartford County, ConnecticutG, on 25 August 1907, Murray John Root, son of John Root and Lucina Lyons.5 Murray was born in Chelsea, Taylor County, WisconsinG, on 12 August 1885.2 He died aged about 67 in 1953 and was buried at Paucatuck CemeteryG.2
     In 1900 Elizabeth was living at Cottage Street, West SpringfieldG, in the household of her parents George and Ellen, and was recorded in the census as Elizabeth M Sackett, at school, aged 14 and born in Massachusetts.6
     In 1910 she was living at Cottage Street, West SpringfieldG, in the household of her husband Murray, 24, a railroad painter, and was recorded as Elizabeth M Root, aged 24. Their daughter Doris, aged two, was living with them. Elizabeth's parents George and Ellen were living next door.7
     In 1920 she was living at Cottage Street, West SpringfieldG, in the household of her husband Murray, 34, a restaurant counter man, and was recorded as M Elizabeth Root, aged 34. Their daughter Doris, aged eleven, was living with them.8
     In 1930 she was living at Cottage Street, West SpringfieldG, in the household of her husband Murray, 44, a cook in a restaurant, and was recorded as Elizabeth M Root, aged 44. They rented their home.9
