Edward Austin "Blind Ed" Sackett, son of Seymour Austin Sackett and Hannah Louisa Sibley, was born in Massachusetts^G in May 1878.¹ He died aged 62 in Great Falls, Cascade County, Montana^G, on 7 January 1941^2,3 and was buried at Highland Cemetery, Great Falls^G.⁴
     In 1880 Edward was living in Westfield, Massachusetts^G, and was recorded in the census as Eddie Sackett, aged two and born in Massachusetts. He was living in the Poor House with about 20 other paupers.⁵
     In 1900 Edward was living at the News & Working Boys Home, San Pedro Street, Los Angeles, California^G, and was recorded in the census as Edward R Sackett, a "working boy", aged 22.⁶
     In 1910 he was living at Barrett Street, Revere^G, in the household of his brother George and and sister-in-law Katherine, and was recorded as Edward W? Sackett, blind, a rattan worker, aged 32.⁷
     Edward completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was aged 40 and was a self-employed news dealer. He was living in Room H, Cary Building, Great Falls^G, and was described as having "lost both eyes". He was, however, able to sign his registration card.⁸
     Edward was listed in the Great Falls City Directory from 1918 until his death in 1941.⁹
     In 1920 he was living at Central Avenue, Great Falls^G, and was recorded as Edward R Sackett, a news dealer on the city streets, aged 41.¹⁰
     In 1930 he was living at Central Avenue, Great Falls^G, and was recorded as Edward A Sackett, a newsboy, aged 51. He was living in a lodging house of 21 lodgers. Also in the lodging house was Theodore Frederick Sackett, although they were not listed together. They were presumably aware of each other but it is unlikely that they knew they were 7th cousins.¹¹

Mildred K Sackett, daughter of Harry Austin Sackett and Mildred S Spinner, was born in Massachusetts^G about 1922.¹

     In 1930 George was living at Sydney Street, Somerville, Middlesex County, Massachusetts^G, in the household of his parents Harry and Mildred, and was recorded in the census as George R Sackett, aged five and born in Massachusetts.²

Marion Anna Sackett, daughter of George Raymond Sackett and Katherine Twohig, was born in Revere, Suffolk County, Massachusetts^G, on 29 January 1905.¹ She died there in infancy on 21 February 1905.²

Gertrude Adella Sackett, daughter of Seymour Austin Sackett and Mary Elizabeth Norwood, was born in Greenfield, Franklin County, Massachusetts^G, on 16 July 1887.^1,2,3 Her birth was registered twice, as Emily in the Greenfield register and as Gertrude Adella in the Cambridge register, both registers giving her birthplace as Greenfield and birth date as 16 July 1887. She died aged 80 in Bridgeport, Fairfield County, Connecticut^G, on 18 November 1967 and was buried at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport^G.^5,6,7 She married about 1915, David Albert Tucker, son of David Tucker and Mary ___.⁴ David Albert Tucker was born in Connecticut^G on 20 September 1885.⁸ He died aged 41 in Bridgeport^G on 7 May 1927 and was buried at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport^G.^6,9
     Gertrude's parents divorced in 1895 when Gertrude was eight. Her father Seymour died the following year, and her mother Mary married second in 1897, Edwin Balbier.
     In 1900 Gertrude was living at Ashman Street, New Haven, Connecticut^G, in the household of her mother Mary and stepfather Edwin Balbier, and was recorded in the census as Gertrude Sackett. She was aged twelve years but, as a result of an enumeration error, was recorded as aged one year.¹⁰
     In 1910 she was living at Ashman Street, New Haven^G, in the household of her mother Mary and stepfather Edwin Balbier, and was recorded as Gertrude Balbier, a trainee hospital nurse, aged 22.¹¹
     In 1910 Gertrude and her sister Bertha were the subjects of a public search, having been identified as heirs to the estate of their aunt Ellen Shattuck who had died the previous year. They had presumably been identified in the name Sackett by family members unaware of their name change to Balbier.
     In 1920 she was living at Plymouth Street, Bridgeport^G, in the household of her husband David A Tucker, 37, a salesman in a soap shop, and was recorded as Gertrude A Tucker, aged 32. Living with them were their son David V, aged three, and Gertrude's widowed father-in-law David Tucker Sr, 78.¹²
     In 1930 she was living at Plymouth Street, Bridgeport^G, and was recorded as Gertrude A Tucker, a nurse, head of household, a widow, aged 42. Her son David, 13, was living with her. There was also a female boarder in the household.¹³
     In 1940 she was living at Asylum Street, Bridgeport^G, and was recorded as Gertrude Tucker, a social worker, head of household, aged 52. Her son David, 23, was living with her.¹⁴
     In 1950 she was living at 2209 Main Street, Bridgeport^G, and was recorded as Gertrude A Tucker, a case worker at the City Welfare Department, head of household, aged 62.¹⁵

Theodore Frederick Sackett, son of Edward Alexander Sackett and Sallie Rankin, was born in Versailles, Morgan County, Missouri^G, on 9 October 1872.¹ He died aged 59 in Great Falls, Cascade County, Montana^G, on 14 April 1932.¹
     In 1930 he was living at Central Avenue, Great Falls^G, and was recorded as Theodore F Sackett, a railroad conductor, aged 58. He was living in a lodging house of 21 lodgers. Also in the lodging house was Edward Austin "Blind Ed" Sackett, although they were not listed together. They were presumably aware of each other but it is unlikely that they knew they were 7th cousins.²

Thomas Gerald Huxtable, son of Elmer Ellsworth Huxtable and Hattie B Sackett, was born in Leslie, Ingham County, Michigan^G, on 18 March 1894.¹ He died aged 65 in Billings, Yellowstone County, Montana^G, on 8 June 1959.²

     In 1910 he was living in Onondaga, Ingham County, Michigan^G, in the household of his parents Elmer and Hattie, and was recorded as Thomas G Huxtable, aged 16.⁴
     In 1920 he was living in School District 46, Musselshell County, Montana^G, in the household of his widowed mother Hattie, and was recorded as Thomas G Huxtable, an engineer, aged 25.⁵

Ralph I Huxtable, son of Elmer Ellsworth Huxtable and Hattie B Sackett, was born in Michigan^G on 13 May 1899.¹ He died aged 68 on 11 December 1967.¹ He married at Salina, Saline County, Kansas^G, on 5 June 1920, Violet Elizabeth Craytor.¹
