Palm Coast — John W. Sackett, 61, of Bidding Place, a former foreman with General Motors, died Monday at Florida Hospital-Flagler.
     Mr. Sackett, a navy veteran, was born in Adrian, Mich., and moved to Palm Coast in 1994 from Port Orange. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
     Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Susan; two sons, Sean and Joshua, both of Palm Coast; a daughter, Tracy Sackett, Winter Park; his mother, Leona Sackett, Port Orange; six brothers, Patrick, Port Orange, Thomas, Altamonte Springs, Michael, Fort Myers, James Tennessee, Edward, Cumming, Ga., and Raymond, Kalamazoo, Mich; and three sisters, Ann McClain, Port Orange, Sally LaClair, New Smyrna Beach, and Mary Hyatt, Michigan. Memorial donations may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4400 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32137. Coastal Cremation, Palm Coast, is in charge.

Golden Adam "Pat" Sackett, son of Golden Noble Sackett and Viola Victoria Adam, was born in Los Angeles County, CaliforniaG, on 11 July 1924.1 He died aged 69 in Ventura, CaliforniaG, on 4 May 19942,3,4 and was buried at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, VenturaG.5 He married Annie Ruth Stamos. They divorced in CaliforniaG in January 1968.6 Annie was born in ColoradoG on 18 September 1924.7 She died aged 43 on 28 July 1968 and was buried at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, VenturaG.8,5
     Golden completed a World War II draft registration card on 29 December 1942. He was aged 18, employed at Moore Shipyard, and was living in Oakland, Alameda County, CaliforniaG.9 He served briefly in the US Army, enlisting as a private soldier at San Francisco, CaliforniaG, on 16 March 1943 and being released on 5 June 1943.10,11

Charles Sackett Hodgman, son of Alfred Purdy Hodgman and Beatrice Sackett, was born in Manhattan, New York CityG, on 28 September 1928.1 He died aged 88 in Chelsea, Washtenaw County, MichiganG, on 24 November 2016 and was buried at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, Westchester County, New York StateG.1 He married at Christ Church Methodist, New York CityG, on 7 May 1959, Marjorie Stradella, daughter of Charles Stradella and Marjorie Campbell.1 Marjorie was born in Manhattan, New York CityG, on 15 February 1928.1 She died aged 88 three days before Charles in Chelsea, MichiganG, on 21 November 2016 and was buried at Kensico CemeteryG.1
     In 1930 Charles was living at Parkway Road, Bronxville, Westchester County, New York StateG, in the household of his parents Alfred and Beatrice, and was recorded in the census as Charles Hodgman, aged one and born in New York State.2
     Charles completed a World War II draft registration card on his eighteenth birthday on 28 September 1946. He was then a student at South Kent School and was living in West Cornwall, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG.3
     Charles enlisted in the New York National Guard in 1948. He was promoted sergeant in the 107th Infantry Regiment in 1952 and second lieutenant in 1953.4,5
