Martha Ilah Sackett, known in adulthood as Ilah, daughter of Elijah Gibson Sackett and Elizabeth Jane "Jennie" Murphy, was born in Berea, Adair County, Iowa^G, on 22 October 1896.^1,2,3,4 She died aged 91 in Belleville, Republic County, Kansas^G, on 3 November 1987^5,4,6 and was buried at Washingon Cemetery, Washington County, Kansas^G.⁸ She married in Washington, Kansas^G, on 28 December 1981, Robert Bryan Henderson.⁷ Robert was born in Barnes, Washington County^G, on 13 May 1899¹ and died aged 94 in Mahaska, Washington County^G, on 18 September 1993.¹
     In 1900 Martha was living in Webster, Woodward County, Oklahoma^G, in the household of her parents Elijah and Elizabeth, and was recorded in the census as Martha I Sackett, aged three and born in Iowa.⁹

     When she married, Ilah was 85 years of age, and her groom Robert Henderson 82. They were married by Ilah's nephew, the Revd Robert Molby (member #579 of the Sackett Family Association), and she was walked down the aisle by Rev Robert's brother Eugene Molby.
     Rev Robert relates that, in asking him to perform the ceremony, Ilah told him, "I have taught school all my life, traveled a lot, worked at Estes Park, Colorado, in the summers, taught piano lessons, taught Sunday school classes, and numerous other things, but I have never been married. I think I will try that next." Only after he had agreed to officiate did Ilah inform her nephew of the name of her intended groom.

Leodah Olive Sackett, daughter of Elijah Gibson Sackett and Elizabeth Jane "Jennie" Murphy, was born in Oklahoma^G on 2 May 1904.^1,2,3 She died aged 35 on 11 August 1939¹ and was buried at Washingon Cemetery, Washington County, Kansas^G.³ She married about 1925, Frank Ruel Molby.² Frank was born in Kansas^G on 3 April 1900¹ and died aged 61 in Lecompton, Douglas County, Kansas^G, on 17 February 1962.¹
