Marilla L Sackett, daughter of Roland Sacket and Sally Phelps, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, about 1834.^1,2 She died on 9 August 1883³ and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield^G.³ She married in Westfield^G on 2 February 1862, John G Hale, son of ___ Hale and Mary A ___.² John was born in Suffield, Connecticut^G, about 1838.²
     In 1850 Marilla was living at Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, in the household of her parents Roland and Sarah, and was recorded in the census as Marilla Sacket, aged 17 and born in Massachusetts.⁴
     Marilla was named as a beneficiary in the will of her father Roland made in Westfield^G on 2 May 1882. She was to receive a sum of $100 from her brother Ashmon who was to inherit the estate.⁵

Rachel Sackett, daughter of Roland Sacket and Sally Phelps, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, in 1813 and died there aged 37 on 17 December 1850.² She was buried in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield^G.² She married in Westfield^G on 11 October 1843, Jeremiah Barnes.^3,4

Roland P Sackett, son of Roland Sacket and Sally Phelps, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 15 April 1817. He died on 20 May 1884 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield^G. He married Mary Ann Curtis.
     In 1870 Roland was living in Westfield^G and was recorded in the census as Roland Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 51. [He is recorded as born in Ireland, clearly an error.] Living with him were his wife Mary, aged 41, and born in Connecticut, and their children, Cordelia, 23, Malinda, 16, Richard, 14, and Clara, aged eleven. Also in the household were his sister Miranda, brother Ashmon, and father Roland.¹
     Roland was named as a beneficiary in his father's will made in Westfield^G on 2 May 1882. He was to receive a sum of $300 from his brother Ashmon who was to inherit the estate.²

Herbert H Sackett, son of Herbert Lyman Sackett and Fannie N Sackett, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 8 August 1889.¹ He married in Yonkers, Westchester County, New York State^G, on 20 June 1910, Jennetta Dean, daughter of Allen H Dean and Lillian A Gibbs.² Jennetta was born in Westfield^G about 1890.³
     In 1900 Herbert was living at 34 Prospect Street, Westfield^G, in the household of his parents Herbert and Fannie, and was recorded in the census as Herbert H Sackett, a schoolboy, aged ten and born in Massachusetts.⁴
     In 1930 he was living at 15 Cedar Street, Springfield, Hampden County^G, and was recorded as Herbert H Sackett, a bookkeeper at a bank, aged 40. Living with him were his wife Jennetta, 39, and their children, Janet, 16, Ruth, 9, and Russell, aged eight.⁵
     In 1940 he was living at 114 Rochelle Street, Springfield^G, and was recorded as Herbert H Sackett, a teller at the Safe Deposit & Trust Bank, aged 50. Living with him were his wife Jeanette, 50, and their children, Janet, 26, Ruth, 19, and Russell, 18.⁶

Marguerite Sackett, daughter of Herbert Lyman Sackett and Fannie N Sackett, was born in Massachusetts^G in September 1883.¹
     In 1900 Marguerite was living at 34 Prospect Street, Westfield^G, in the household of her parents Herbert and Fannie, and was recorded in the census as Marguerite E Sackett, a schoolgirl, aged 16 and born in Massachusetts.²

Fannie N Sackett, daughter of Lemuel H Sackett and Lydia Chapman, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 17 May 1858.¹ She married in Westfield^G on 25 August 1877, Herbert Lyman Sackett, her first cousin, son of Seth Sackett and Ellen R Smith.²
     In 1860 Fannie was living in Westfield^G and was recorded in the census as Fanny Sacket, aged two, and born in Massachusetts. She was living with her widowed mother Lydia.³
     In 1870 she was living in Westfield^G in the household of her stepfather Hiram and mother Lydia, and was recorded as Fanny Sackett, aged 12.⁴
     In 1880 she was living in Westfield^G and was recorded as Fannie M Sackett, aged 22. She was living with her husband Herbert, 21, in the household of his parents Seth and Ellen.⁵
     In 1900 she was living at 34 Prospect Street, Westfield^G, in the household of her husband Herbert, 42, a stocker in a whip factory, and was recorded as Fannie M Sackett, aged 42. Living with them were their children, Jessie, 18, Marguerite, 16, and Herbert, aged ten. Fannie's mother Lydia Caswell, 75, was also in the household.⁶

Jessie A Sackett, daughter of Herbert Lyman Sackett and Fannie N Sackett, was born in Massachusetts^G in August 1881.¹ She married A D W Holmes.
     In 1900 Jessie was living at 34 Prospect Street, Westfield^G, in the household of her parents Herbert and Fannie, and was recorded in the census as Jessie A Sackett, a paper box factory worker, aged 18 and born in Massachusetts.²

Samuel J Sackett, son of Lemuel H Sackett and Lydia Chapman, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 17 April 1850.¹ He died there aged 13 on 20 February 1864 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield^G.^2,3
     In 1850 Samuel was living in Westfield^G in the household of his parents Lemuel and Lydia, and was recorded in the census as Samuel Sacket, aged four months and born in Massachusetts.⁴
     In 1855 he was living in Westfield^G in the household of his parents Lemuel and Lydia, and was recorded as Samuel J Sacket, aged five.⁵
     In 1860 he was living in Westfield^G in the household of his uncle Roland Sacket, a whip maker, and was recorded as Samuel J Sacket, aged ten.⁶
