Horace Arthur Sackett, cabinet maker, son of Walter John Samuel Sackett and Rebecca Janet Hawkins, was born in Shoreditch, MiddlesexG, in 1871.1 He died aged 83 at Hackney Hospital, Hackney, LondonG, on 20 April 1955.2,3 He married in St Philip, Dalston, LondonG, on 17 May 1896, Louisa Brampton.4,5 She was born in about 18766 and died aged 66 at Mildmay Memorial Hospital, Newington Green, Islington, LondonG, on 21 August 1942.7
     Horace was admitted to St Paul's School, HackneyG, on 28 April 1879. He had previously attended St Paul's Infant School. His home address was 61 Brougham Road.8
     In 1881 Horace was living at 6 Montague Road, HackneyG, in the household of his parents Walter and Rebecca, and was recorded in the census as Horace Sackett, a scholar, aged nine and born in Shoreditch.9
     In 1891 he was living at 6 Montague Road, HackneyG, in the household of his parents Walter and Rebecca, and was recorded as Horace Sackett, a clerk (employed), unmarried, aged 19 and born in Hackney.10
     In 1901 he was living at 4 Montague Road, Dalston, Hackney, LondonG, and was recorded as Horace A Sackett, a sideboard maker, a working employer, head of household, married, aged 29 and born in Shoreditch. Living with him were his wife Louisa, aged 25, and born in Hackney, and their children, Dora, 3, and Hilda, aged one.11
     In 1911 he was living at 4 Montague Road, HackneyG, and was recorded as Horace Arthur Sackett, a cabinet maker, sideboards, an employer, head of household, aged 39 and born in Hackney. Living with him were his wife Louisa, 35, and their children, Dora, 13, Hilda, 10, and Ethel, aged nine.12

     In 1921 he was living at 4 Montague Road, HackneyG, and was recorded as Horace Arthur Sackett, a cabinet maker, an employer, head of household, aged 49. Living with him were his wife Louisa, 45, and their children, Dora, 23, Hilda, 22, and Ethel, aged 19.13
     Horace was granted administration on 8 October 1942 of his wife Louisa's estate, valued at £497.14
     Horace was granted administration on 25 March 1949 of his daughter Dora's estate, valued at £1,613.15
     Horace left a will which was proved on 13 June 1955 by his daughter Hilda. His estate was valued at £6,130.16
