Noah Sacket, son of Moses Sacket and Tryphena Hiscock, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 11 February 1815.1,2 He died there on 7 February 18803 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, WestfieldG. He married first in WestfieldG in about 1840, Olive Nelson, his 4th cousin, daughter of Horace Nelson and Charlotte Sacket.4 He married second in WestfieldG on 10 May 1876, Maletha E (Loring) Hurick, daughter of Simon W Loring and Jane A ___.5 Maletha was born in Blandford, Hampden CountyG, on 19 May 1832.6
     In 1870 Noah was living at Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, and was recorded in the census as Noah Sackett, a farmer, aged 55, and born in Massachusetts. Living with him were his wife Olive, 52, and their children, Melissa, 27, George 24, and James, aged twelve.7
     Noah was included in a list of principal tax payers of Westfield published in the Westfield News-Letter in August 1872.8
