George Bentley Sackett, son of Noah Sacket and Olive Nelson, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 5 March 1845.1 He died aged 71 on 1 January 1917 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, WestfieldG.2 He married in WestfieldG on 26 December 1877, Emma Sanford, daughter of Daniel Sanford and Lorinda ___.3 Emma was born in Huntington, Hampshire County, MassachusettsG, on 23 September 1856.4
     In 1870 George was living in WestfieldG in the household of his parents Noah and Olive, and was recorded in the census as George Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 24 and born in Massachusetts.5
