Moses Sacket, a farmer, son of William Sacket and Lydia Weller, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 3 December 17661,2,3 and baptized at the Church of Christ, WestfieldG, on 7 December 1766.4 He died aged 83 in WestfieldG on 21 March 18501,5,6 and was buried at West Parish Cemetery, WestfieldG.7 He married at the First Church, WestfieldG, on 24 December 1795, Tryphena Hiscock.1,8,9,10 Tryphena was born in MassachusettsG in 1772.7,11 She died aged about 82 in WestfieldG on 29 August 1854 and was buried at West Parish Cemetery, WestfieldG.7
     Moses was listed in the 1800, 1810, 1820, 1830, and 1840 censuses as a householder in WestfieldG.12,13,14,15,16
     In 1850 Moses's widow Tryphena was living at Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, and was recorded in the census as Tryphene Sacket, aged 77, and born in Massachusetts. Living with her were her daughter Laura, aged 33, and granddaughter Laura, aged 11, (daughter of son Martin.)17
