George Sacket, farmer of Colchester, Delaware County, New York, son of Menardus Sacket and Fanny Nimocks, was born in New York StateG in about 1805.1,2 He married in about 1825, Eliza A Peake.1 She was born in New York StateG in about 1807.2
     In 1850 George was living at Colchester, Delaware County, New York StateG, and was recorded in the census as George Sackett, a farmer, aged 44 and born in New York. Living with him were [his wife] Eliza, aged 42 and also born in New York, and [their children] Porter (19), Augustus (17), Charles (15), Fanny (10), Harriet (8), Eliza (6), and Shepard (2), all born in New York.3
