Annie Emma Sackett, piano teacher, daughter of William Setterfield Sackett and Elizabeth Robins, was born in Bermondsey, SurreyG, on 4 February 1867.1,2 She died aged 75 in Maidstone, KentG, in 1942.3 She was unmarried.
     In 1891 Annie was living at 73 Millbrook Road, Brixton, SurreyG, in the household of her parents William and Elizabeth, and was recorded in the census as Annie E Sackett, unmarried, aged 24 and born in Bermondsey.4
     In 1901 she was living at 86 Dane Road, MargateG, in the household of her widowed mother Elizabeth, and was recorded as Annie E Sackett, a clerk, single, aged 34 and born in Bermondsey.5
     In 1911 she was living at York House, 86 Dane Road, Margate, KentG, in the household of her widowed mother Elizabeth, and was recorded as Annie E Sackett, a teacher of pianoforte, single, aged 44 and born in Bermondsey. Also in the household was Marian Gordon, aged ten, a granddaughter of Elizabeth and assumed to be the daughter of Annie.6
     In 1921 she was living at 86 Dane Road, MargateG, and was recorded as Annie E Sackett, a lodging house keeper, head of household, single, aged 53. Living with her was Marian G Sackett, 20, described as a niece, but probably her daughter. There were two boarders in the house.7
     At the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939, Annie was living at 6 Marlowe Road, MargateG, with her (assumed) daughter Marion and son-in-law William Burton. She was an old age pensioner.8
