Moses Sacket, son of Moses Sacket and Tryphena Hiscock, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 11 August 17981,2,3 and died there aged 66 on 10 June 1865.4,5 He was buried in the Pine Hill Cemetery, WestfieldG.5 He married at the First Church, WestfieldG, on 21 April 1825, Maria Doane, daughter of Enoch Doane and Mabel Cooper.6,7,8 Maria was born on 4 January 1808.5 She died aged 88 on 31 March 18965 and was buried in the Pine Hill CemeteryG.5
     Moses was listed in the 1840 census as a householder in WestfieldG.9
     In 1850 Moses was living in WestfieldG and was recorded in the census as Moses Sacket, a farmer, aged 50 and born in Massachusetts. Living with him were his wife Maria, 42, and their children, Nancy, 12, Cornelius, 7, Austin, 5, and Edwin, aged one.10
     In 1860 he was living in WestfieldG and was recorded as Moses Sacket, a farmer, aged 62 and born in Massachusetts. Living with him were his wife Maria, 52, and children, Nancy, 21, Cornelius, 17, Austin, 15, and Edwin G, aged eleven.11
     In 1870 Moses's widow Maria was living in WestfieldG in the household of her son Cornelius, and was recorded in the census as Maria Sackett, aged 62, and born in Massachusetts.12
