     In 1880 Rose was living with her father Joseph in a hotel at 79 Margaret Street, Plattsburgh, Clinton County, New York State^G, and was recorded as Rosa Sacket, aged 14.⁴
     In 1910 she was living at Second Street, Williamsburg, Clermont County, Ohio^G, in the household of her father Joseph and stepmother Harriett, and was recorded as Rose D Estes, aged 34 [actually 42], a widow.⁵

Leroy Halliwell Sackett, son of Joseph Sheppard Sackett and Ida Hill, was born in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut^G, on 3 December 1883.¹ He died aged 61 in Los Angeles, California^G, on 14 April 1945² and was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, Los Angeles County, California^G.⁵ He married first in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee^G, on 9 November 1904, Aurelia Myers, daughter of Harvey Myers and Carrie Wells.³ Aurelia was born in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky^G, on 28 February 1886.⁶ They divorced about April 1915.⁷ She died aged 43 at the Longview Hospital, Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio^G, on 27 March 1929 and was buried at Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, Kenton County, Kentucky^G.^8,5,9 He married second in Franklin County, Ohio^G, on 1 May 1915, Doretta Welch (Dumm) Deurmyer, daughter of William J Dumm and Mae Christiansen.⁴ Doretta was born in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie County, Iowa^G, on 1 September 1892.¹ She died aged 93 in Orange County, California^G, on 16 May 1986 and was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale^G.⁵
     In 1900 Leroy was living at 818 Madison Avenue, Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky^G, in the household of his widowed father Joseph, and was recorded in the census as Leroy H Sackett, a merchant in a book store, aged 16 and born in Connecticut.¹⁰
     In 1910 he was living at 1520 Garrard Avenue, Covington^G, and was recorded as Leroy Sacket, a manager of an automobile garage, aged 26. His wife Aurelia, 24, was living with him. Aurelia's married sister Elsie Stewart was also in the household.¹¹
     Leroy completed a World War I draft registration card on 11 September 1918. He was aged 34 and was an auto truck dealer. He was living at the Normandie Hotel, Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio^G, with his wife Doretta.¹²
     In 1920 Aurelia was an inmate in the Longview Hospital, Paddock Road, Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio^G. She was aged 34 and divorced.¹³
     In 1930 Leroy was living at 2369 Carrolton Terrace, Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky^G, and was recorded in the census as Leroy Sackett, president of a motor sales company, aged 46. His wife Doretta, 35, was living with him. There was also a female domestic servant in the household.¹⁴
     In 1940 he was living at 6624 Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California^G, and was recorded as LeRoy H Sackett, an automobile salesman, aged 56. His wife Doretta, 45, was living with him. They had removed from Kentucky sometime after 1935.¹⁵
     Leroy completed a World War II draft registration card on 25 April 1942. He was aged 58 and was employed by Aetna Life insurance Company. He was living at 6624 Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles^G, with his wife Doretta.¹⁶
