     Wilford completed a World War II draft registration card on 16 February 1942. He was aged 20 and was living at 171 Cherry Street, Battle Creek^G. Next of kin was his mother, of the same address.⁹
     Wilford served in the US Army from enlistment in Kalamazoo^G on 17 July 1942 to release on 25 November 1945.^5,10
     Wilford was listed in the 1956 Battle Creek City Directory. He was a turbine operator at Consumers Power and was living with his wife Betty at 153 Rook Avenue, Battle Creek^G.¹¹

Clifford Duane Sackitt, son of Benjamin Franklin Sackitt and Bessie E Smith, was born in Battle Creek, Calhoun County, Michigan^G, on 23 October 1927.¹ He died aged 32 in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan^G, on 31 December 1959.¹
