Mildred I Sackett, daughter of William Henry Sackett and Rena Olivia DeLoach, was born in New Jersey^G on 26 July 1897.^1,2 She died aged 19 on 17 January 1917.¹
     In 1910 Mildred was living at Klondike Avenue, Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York State^G, in the household of her parents William and Rena, and was recorded in the census as Mildred Sackett, aged twelve.³

Florence Marion Sackett, daughter of William Henry Sackett and Rena Olivia DeLoach, was born in 1899.¹ She died aged about 80 in 1979.¹
     In 1910 Florence was living at Klondike Avenue, Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York State^G, in the household of her parents William and Rena, and was recorded in the census as Florence Sackett, aged ten.²
     In 1920 she was living at Creek Road, Oyster Bay^G, in the household of her parents William and Rena, and was recorded as Florence Sackett, aged 20.³

Julia Rena Sackett, daughter of William Henry Sackett and Rena Olivia DeLoach, was born in Bayville, Nassau County, New York State^G, on 9 July 1903.^1,2 She died aged 91 in Hallstead, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania^G, on 16 March 1995^3,4 and was buried at Lawsville Cemetery, Susquehanna County^G.² She married at Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York State^G, on 19 February 1923, Charles Sterling.⁵ Charles was born in Yonkers, Westchester County, New York State^G, on 7 June 1899.^6,2 He died aged 80 in Hallstead^G on 22 November 1979 and was buried at Lawsville Cemetery^G.²
     In 1910 Julia was living at Klondike Avenue, Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York State^G, in the household of her parents William and Rena, and was recorded in the census as Julia Sackett, aged six and born in New York.⁷
     In 1920 she was living at Creek Road, Oyster Bay^G, in the household of her parents William and Rena, and was recorded as Julia R Sackett, aged 16.⁸
     In 1930 Julia was living at Perry Avenue, Bayville, Nassau County, New York State^G, in the household of her husband Charles Sterling, 30, a plumber, and was recorded in the census as Julia Sterling, aged 26. Living with them were their children, June, 6, Marion, 3, and Charles, aged one.⁹

Edwin William Sackett, son of William Henry Sackett and Rena Olivia DeLoach, was born in 1907.¹ He died aged about 61 in 1968.¹
     In 1910 Edwin was living at Klondike Avenue, Oyster Bay, Nassau County, New York State^G, in the household of his parents William and Rena, and was recorded in the census as Edwin Sackett, aged three and born in New York.²
     In 1920 he was living at Creek Road, Oyster Bay^G, in the household of his parents William and Rena, and was recorded as Edwin W Sackett, aged twelve.³
     In 1930 he was living at Godfrey Avenue, Bayville, Nassau County, New York State^G, in the household of his parents William and Rena, and was recorded as Edwin Sackett, a sales clerk in a store, aged 23.⁴

Danford Sackett, son of William Henry Sackett and Rena Olivia DeLoach, was born in 1910.¹ He died in infancy in 1912.¹

Hazel Merial Sackett, daughter of William Henry Sackett and Rena Olivia DeLoach, was born in 1912.¹ She died aged about 79 in 1991.¹
     In 1920 Hazel was living at Creek Road, Oyster Bay^G, in the household of her parents William and Rena, and was recorded in the census as Hazel M Sackett, aged seven and born in New York.²
     In 1930 she was living at Godfrey Avenue, Bayville, Nassau County, New York State^G, in the household of her parents William and Rena, and was recorded as Hazel Sackett, aged 17.³

Louisa Sackett, daughter of Oscar S Sackett and Eliza Miles Burns, was born in New York State^G on 24 August 1869.¹ She died aged 72 in Port Chester, Westchester County, New York State^G, on 5 November 1941 and was buried at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye, Westchester County^G.³ She married in Rye^G on 24 December 1885, Charles Addington Slagle.²
     In 1880 Louisa was living in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut^G, and was recorded in the census as Louisa Sackett, aged twelve and born in New York. She was a boarder in the household of Aaron Adams and his wife.⁴
     In 1900 she was living in Greenwich^G in the household of her husband Charles, 35, a packer in a shirt factory, and was recorded as Louisa Slagle, aged 31. Living with them were their children, William, 13, Frederick, 8, and Mabel, aged seven.⁵

Research note
     Louisa'a obituary gives her date of birth as 24 August 1869 and her parents are named as Oscar and Eliza Sackett. The 1900 census has August 1868. Either date poses a problem as Oscar and Eliza had separated by 1866 when Oscar married Fannie Matthews. Louisa is not listed in either Oscar's or Eliza's household in 1870. However, in 1880, while Louisa, now a 12-year-old schoolgirl, was boarding in a household in Greenwich, Eliza was living just a couple of miles away in Pemberwick Village.

Obituary

William Addington Slagle, son of Charles Addington Slagle and Louisa Sackett, was born in Port Chester, Westchester County, New York State^G, on 20 January 1887.¹ He died aged 54 in Stamford, Fairfield County, Connecticut^G, on 9 December 1941.¹
     In 1900 William was living in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut^G, in the household of his parents Charles and Louisa, and was recorded in the census as William Slagle, aged 13 and born in Connecticut.²

Frederick Augustus Slagle, son of Charles Addington Slagle and Louisa Sackett, was born in Byram, Fairfield County, Connecticut^G, on 9 September 1891.¹ He died aged 75 in Port Chester, Westchester County, New York State^G, on 12 August 1967.¹ He married on 17 October 1919, Gretchen Christine Fuchs.¹
     In 1900 Frederick was living in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut^G, in the household of his parents Charles and Louisa, and was recorded in the census as Frederick Slagle, aged eight and born in Connecticut.²

Mable Angel Slagle, daughter of Charles Addington Slagle and Louisa Sackett, was born in Port Chester, Westchester County, New York State^G, on 2 May 1893.¹ She died in Port Chester^G in June 1953.¹ She married first in 1909, Archibald R Paton.¹ She married second in Port Chester^G about 1946, Victor Brunell.¹
     In 1900 Mable was living in Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut^G, in the household of her parents Charles and Louisa, and was recorded in the census as Mabel Slagle, aged seven and born in Connecticut.²
