James H Morgan, son of Joseph Morgan and Aner Sackett, was born in OhioG in September 1864.1,2 He died aged about 92 in Tipp City, Miami County, OhioG, on 10 September 1956 and was buried at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp CityG.2 He married Elizabeth J Garwood, daughter of Joseph Garwood and Leuticia Vaughan. Elizabeth was born in Montgomery County, OhioG, on 2 November 1861.2 She died aged 91 in Tipp City, Miami County, OhioG, on 7 December 1952 and was buried at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp CityG.2

Thomas Sackett Batterton, son of Levi Batterton and Dorcas Sackett, was born in Menard County, IllinoisG, on 21 October 1839.1 He died aged 94 in Pekin, Tazewell County, IllinoisG, on 24 December 1933.1 He married in Menard County, IllinoisG, on 1 March 1861, Lucy Jane Duncan, daughter of Anderson Duncan and Cynthia A Clopton, and sister of Sarah Duncan who married Thomas's brother Elias.1

PEKIN.—Thomas S. Batterton, 94, one of the oldest residents of Pekin died at his home on South Second street at 8:10 a.m. Friday.
He was born in Menard county, Oct. 21, 1839 a son of Levi and Darkus Sackett Batterton. He married Lucy Duncan who died 22 years ago.
He is survived by five children: Edward Batterton of Pembine, Wis; David, of Niagara, Wis; George, of Pekin; Anderson of Petersburg, and Mrs. Ada Collins of Colorado. Six sons and daughters have preceded him in death. The funeral will be held at Noels at 10 a. m. Tuesday and burial will be in the Topeka cemetery.
Mr. Batterton was a member of the Baptist church.
