Cloyd Mason Sackett, son of Charles Gates "Charlie" Sackett and Almina Stout, was born in Ruggles Township, Ashland County, OhioG, on 10 May 1882.2,3,4 He died aged 69 at home at 316 Orange Street, Mansfield, Richland County, OhioG, on 25 August 19515 and was buried at Ruggles Cemetery, Ruggles TownshipG, on 27 August 1951.5 He married first on 29 January 1907, Lena May Russell, daughter of Walter W Russell and Emma F Motter. Lena was born in New London, Huron County, OhioG, on 28 November 1881.6,7,4,8 She died aged 39 in Mansfield General HospitalG on 15 October 1921 as a result of burns suffered in a fire at her home and was buried at Ruggles CemeteryG.7 He married second before 1930, Minnie M Bookman, former wife of Howard C Sowash.6 Minnie was born in Ashland County, OhioG, on 11 May 1892.6,7 She died there aged 85 on 29 December 1977 and was buried at Ruggles CemeteryG.7
In 1900 Cloyd was living in Ruggles, Ashland County, OhioG, in the household of his parents Charles and Mina, and was recorded in the census as Cloid Sacket, at school, aged 18 and born in Ohio.9
In 1910 he was living in Ruggles, Ashland County, OhioG, and was recorded as Cloyd M Sackett, a farmer, head of household, aged 27. Living with him were his wife Lena, 28, his widowed grandfather Erasmus, 87, and his stepsister Helen, aged 16.10
Cloyd completed a World War I draft registration card on 12 September 1918. He was then aged 36 and was living at Ashland, OhioG, with his wife Laena. He was a farmer.11
In 1920 he was living in Madison, Richland County, OhioG, and was recorded as Cloyd M Sackett, an inspector in a brass foundry, head of household, aged 37. He owned his home on a mortgage. Living with him were his wife Lena, 38, and their son Harold, aged eight.12
In 1930 he was living in Madison, Richland County, OhioG, and was recorded as Cloyd Sackett, a carpenter for a building contractor, aged 48. He rented his home. Living with him were his second wife Minnie, 37, and Minnie's children, Dorothy, 18, and Arthur, aged 14.13
Cloyd completed a World War II draft registration card on 26 April 1942. He was then aged 59 and was living at 92 Waring Avenue, Mansfield, Richland County, OhioG, with his second wife Minnie.14
