Ozander Allen Sackett, son of Anson W Sackett and Docia Ruggles, was born in Oswego County, New York StateG, on 12 May 1829.1,2 He died on 26 February 1894.1 He married in Hanover, Chautauqua County, New York StateG, on 8 January 1863, Ophelia Ann Gould.1
     In 1855 Ozander was living in Villenova, Chautauqua County, New York StateG, in the household of his parents Anson and Docia, and was recorded in the census as O A Sackett, a farmer, aged 26 and born in Oswego County.3
     In 1860 he was living in VillenovaG in the household of his parents Anson and Docia, and was recorded as Ozander Sackett, aged 31.4
     In 1865 he was living in Hanover, Chautauqua CountyG, and was recorded as Osande A Sackett, a farmer, aged 35. Living with him were his wife Ophelia, 27, their daughter Susie, five months, and Ozander's parents Anson and Docia.5
