     Frederick's father Marvin provided in his will made at New Lebanon^G on 27 September 1901 that $1,000 be set aside to "buy a place" for Frederick's heirs. Frederick was not named as a direct heir of his father's estate and it may be that he had received land or other assets during his father's lifetime.⁹

In the event, he took his share in 1902 during his father's lifetime, and his father varied his will accordingly.⁶

Grace Julia Sackett, daughter of Marvin Sackett and Julia Belendiva Goold, was born in West Lebanon, Columbia County, New York State^G, on 1 September 1871.^1,2,3 She died aged 83 on 17 February 1955⁴ and was buried at Cemetery of the Evergreens, New Lebanon, Columbia County, New York State^G.⁵ She married at Springfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts^G, on 16 July 1890, Edwin Chace Powell, son of George Townsend Powell and Marcia Rebecca Chace.¹ Edwin was born on 3 March 1870.⁴ He died aged 83 on 11 July 1953 and was buried at the Cemetery of the Evergreens^G.⁵

     Grace went on a West Indies cruise on the SS Rotterdam in 1933, leaving New York on 18 November 1933 and returning on 4 December. She was then living at 8637 Colesville Road, Silver Spring, Montgomery County, Maryland^G.³
