Alma Sackett, daughter of Alfred James Sackett and Lydia Hatfield, was born in Sculcoates, YorkshireG, in December 1898.1 She died aged 69 in Birmingham, WarwickshireG, in 1968.2 She married first on 13 April 1920, Major Henry Vere Webb Miles. Henry was born in Dundalk, IrelandG, on 14 August 1876.4 She married second in York, YorkshireG, in 1946, George Patrick Cecil Holden, son of George William Richard Holden and Agnes ___.3 George was born in Richmond, SurreyG, in 1895.5
In 1901 Alma was living at 5 Francis Terrace, Islington, LondonG, in the household of her parents Alfred and Lydia, and was recorded in the census as Alma Sackett, aged two and born in Hull.6
In 1911 she was living at Ollivier Street, St Anne's, AlderneyG, in the household of her parents Alfred and Lydia, and was recorded as Alma Sackett, aged 12 and born in Hull.7
In 1921 she was living at 13 Havilland Street, St Peter Port, GuernseyG, in the household of her husband Vere Miles, 45, inspector of explosives, and was recorded as Alma Miles, aged 22. Her brother Douglas, 14, was also in the household.8
