George Raymond Sackett, son of Seymour Austin Sackett and Hannah Louisa Sibley, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 31 July 1867.1 He died aged 73 in Revere, Suffolk County, MassachusettsG, on 11 October 1940.2,3 He married in Providence, Rhode IslandG, on 2 June 1896, Katherine Twohig, daughter of Dennis Twohig and Ellen ___.4,5 Katherine was born in Cambridge, Middlesex County, MassachusettsG, on 13 October 1868.6
In 1870 George was living in WestfieldG in the household of his parents Seymour and Hannah, and was recorded in the census as George Sackett, aged three and born in Massachusetts.7
In 1880 he was living in WestfieldG in the household of his uncle Seymour Sibley, a farmer, and his family, and was recorded as George Sackett, aged 12, at school.8
In 1900 he was living at Payson? Street, RevereG, and was recorded as George R Sackett, an engineer, head of household, aged 31 and born in Massachusetts. He rented his house. Living with him were his wife Katherine, 30, and their children, George, 3, and William, aged six months. Also in the household was George's unmarried brother Frederick, 26.9
In 1910 he was living at Barrett Street, RevereG, and was recorded as George R Sackett, supervisor at the Park Commission, head of household, aged 42. Living with him were his wife Katherine, 40, their children, George, 13, William, 10, and Harry, aged seven, and George's unmarried brother Edward, 32.10
In 1920 he was living at Barrett Street, RevereG, and was recorded as George R Sackett, Park Commission supervisor, head of household, aged 53. He owned his home free of mortgage. Living with him were his wife Katherine, 51, and their sons, William, 20, and Harry, aged 17.11
George was listed in the Revere City Directory from 1914 to 1940, liiving at 45 Barrett Street, RevereG.12
George was a member of the Seaview Lodge of Freemasons from 1920 until his death in 1940.2
In 1930 he was living at Barrett Street, RevereG, and was recorded as George R Sackett, supervisor of State machinery, head of household, aged 62. He owned his home. His wife Katherine, 61, was living with him. Also in the household was Katherine's unmarried brother Joseph Twohig, 64.13
