Ezekiel Sackett, son of John Sackett and Prudence Atherton, was born in Albany County, New York StateG, on 22 November 1786.1,2,3 He died aged 70 in Redford, Wayne County, MichiganG, on 28 October 1857 and was buried at Bell Branch Cemetery, RedfordG. He married in 1809, Elizabeth Woodward.

In 1850 Ezekiel was living at Livonia, Wayne CountyG, and was recorded in the census as Ezekiel Sackett, a farmer, aged 64, and born in New York State. Living with him were his wife Elizabeth, aged 56 and also born in New York, their unmarried daughter Hannah, 27, and their daughter Elizabeth, 20, with her husband Jonathan Wright and their eight-month-old daughter Sarah Ann.7
