Myron Sackett, a farmer, son of Benjamin Sackett and Betty Eldred, was born in Warren, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, on 13 February 17871,2,3 and baptized at the Congregational Church of Christ, WarrenG, on 29 June 1800.4 He died aged 62 in Canfield, Mahoning County, OhioG, on 8 November 1849.1,3 He married in CanfieldG on 16 April 1817, Orpha Dean, daughter of William Dean and Parthena Bailey.1,3 Orpha was born in Cornwall, Litchfield County, ConnecticutG, on 17 July 1797.1,3 She died aged 84 in Warren, Trumbull County, OhioG, on 20 February 1882.1,3
     Myron was listed in the census in 1820, 1830 and 1840 as a householder in Canfield, Trumbull County, OhioG.5,6,7
     Myron was taxed on two lots of land totalling 90 acres in Trumbull CountyG in 1825.8
     In 1850 Myron's widow Orpha was living in CanfieldG and was recorded in the census as Orpha Sackett, aged 53 and born in Connecticut. Living with her were her children, Oliver, 22, Mary, 16, and Flora, aged 13.9
