She was born June 3rd, 1835 and was the oldest of nine children of James W. and Nancy Sackett, of Lumberland, this county. On Dec 28th, 1854, she was married to Chandler D. Funeral services were held in Monticello, Thursday afternoon, and interment in the family plot in the Grahamsville Cemetery on Friday. Mitchell, undertaker.

James's obituary
James E. Sackett.
James E. Sackett, a veteran of the Civil War, died at his home at Monticello on Sunday night of obstruction of the bowels, after a week's illness. He was born at Forestburgh and would have been 77 years old the 29th of the present month. Mr. Sackett was a genius, and had patented several devices, none of which has ever been put upon the market. Among his latest inventions was a spring wheel for autos and wagons, which could have been developed into a wonderful piece of mechanism. The ideas were practical and only money and a correction or two in faulty construction would have made a fortune for the aged inventor.

Eliza's obituary
WHITE HAVEN.
Yesterday morning about 10 o'clock a telegram was received by Dr. Marstellar announcing the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Sackett, wife of Postmaster Sackett, of this place. Mrs. Sackett has been under treatment for some time past. She continued to grow worse and finally, on Wednesday morning, Nov. 28, was taken to the Polyclinic Hospital at Philadelphia for treatment. Yesterday morning Mr. Sackett decided to go and see her, and left on the 9:10 train, only a short time before the news of her death came. The death of Mrs. Sackett is a severe blow to her large number of friends. She was a devoted wife, a good neighbor, and has always been a sincere Christian and truthful member of the M.E. church. The remains were brought home on the 12:10 L.V. train to-day, and taken in charge by Undertaker Kocher. As yet no arrangements have been made for the funeral.
