James Joseph Sackett, son of Peter Sackett and Esther Palmer, was born in Connecticut^G about 1785.^1,2 He died aged 45 in Manhattan, New York City^G, on 8 August 1830.^1,3,4 He married about 1810, Ann Black.^1,5 Ann was born about 1789.² She died aged 60 in Manhattan^G on 5 August 1849.^1,6

Hannah Alsop Sackett, daughter of Peter Sackett and Esther Palmer, was born say 1788.¹ She married ___ Shute.
     She was probably the Hannah Shute listed as a householder in New York City^G in 1830, suggesting that she was a widow by that date.²

Esther Palmer Sackett, daughter of Peter Sackett and Esther Palmer, was born say 1790.¹ She was probably the Esther (wife of Frederick Cameron of the ship Cambria) who died on 17 April 1829. The death notice refers to a brother James Sackett who was invited to her funeral. These are the only known Esther and James siblings of the period.²

James Sackett, son of Joseph Sackett and Margaret ___, was born in New York City^G on 28 August 1808¹ and baptized at Trinity Parish, New York City^G, on 9 December 1819.² He died aged 26 in Manhattan, New York City^G, on 20 November 1834.³

Mary Sackett, daughter of Joseph Sackett and Margaret ___, was born in New York City^G on 7 October 1811¹ and baptized at Trinity Parish, New York City^G, on 9 December 1819.² She died aged 92 in New York City^G on 22 May 1904.^1,3,4 She was unmarried.
     In 1860 Mary was living in Morrisania, Westchester County, New York State^G, in the household of her mother Margaret, and was recorded in the census as Mary Sacket, aged 46.⁵
     In 1870 she was living in Morrisania^G in the household of her sister Millicent Quick, 65, and was recorded as Mary Sackett, aged 57. Their mother Margaret Sackett, 85, was also in the household.⁶
     Mary was left a sum of $1,000 and certain personal items, including a gold watch and pictures, by her sister Millicent in her will made on 20 June 1885 and proved on 5 September 1888.⁷

Hannah Sackett, daughter of Joseph Sackett and Margaret ___, was born in New York City^G on 9 April 1814¹ and baptized at Trinity Parish, New York City^G, on 9 December 1819.² She may have been the Hannah Sackett who married William Leverich in Brooklyn in 1838.

Millicent Sackett, daughter of Joseph Sackett and Margaret ___, was born in New York City^G on 1 March 1805 and baptized at Trinity Parish, New York City^G, on 9 December 1819.^1,2,3 She died aged about 83 about 1888.⁴ She married Richard Quick. Richard was born in Milton, Saratoga County, New York State^G.⁵
     In 1850 Millicent was living in New York City^G and was recorded in the census as Millisent Quick, aged 45 and born in New York. Living with her were her sons, James, 23, and Charles, 20.⁶
     In 1860 she was living in Morrisania, Westchester County, New York State^G, in the household of Law and Mary Conover, and was recorded as Millisant Quick, aged 52.⁷
     In 1870 she was living in Morrisania^G and was recorded as Millicent Quick, aged 65. Living with her were her sister Mary Sackett, 57, and their mother Margaret Sackett, 85.⁸
     In 1880 she was living in New York City^G and was recorded as Millicent Quick, a widow, aged 67 [probably 75]. Her son James, 50, was living with her.⁹
     Millicent made her will in New York City^G on 20 June 1885. She left $1,000 to her sister Mary Sackett, $500 to a granddaughter, the residue of her estate to go to her sons, James and Charles. James was named as executor of the will, but renounced the appointment in favour of his daughter Sadie A Madden. The will was proved on 5 September 1888.¹⁰
