Jane Elizabeth Pay, daughter of James Pay and Hannah Sackett, was baptized at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 21 November 1830.¹ She married in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1863, Thomas Hobday Read.²
     In 1841 Jane was living at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, in the household of her parents James and Hannah, and was recorded in the census as Jane Pay, aged ten and born in Kent.³
     In 1861 she was living at Callis Court Farm, St Peter's, Kent^G, in the household of her uncle and aunt, Thomas and Harriet Sackett, and was recorded as Jane Pay, a house servant, unmarried, aged 30, and born in St Peter's.⁴
     Jane was named as a beneficiary in her uncle Thomas Sackett's will made in St Peter's, Kent^G, on 31 October 1868.⁵

Elizabeth Holt Pay, daughter of James Pay and Hannah Sackett, was baptized at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 26 February 1832.¹ She married in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1858, James Hunt, a baker.²
     In 1841 Elizabeth was living at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, in the household of her parents James and Hannah, and was recorded in the census as Elizabeth Pay, aged nine and born in Kent.³
     In 1861 she was living at Callis Court Farm, St Peter's, Kent^G, in the household of her uncle and aunt, Thomas and Harriet Sackett, and was recorded as Elizabeth Hunt, a visitor, married, aged 29, and born in St Peter's. Living with her were her children, Hannah, 2, and Charles, aged two months.⁴
     Elizabeth was named as a beneficiary in her uncle Thomas Sackett's will made in St Peter's, Kent^G, on 31 October 1868.⁵

Charlotte Hannah Pay, daughter of James Pay and Hannah Sackett, was baptized at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 12 February 1826.² She married in Thanet, Kent^G, in 1851, John Hobbs.³ He died before 1861.
     In 1841 Charlotte was living at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, in the household of her parents James and Hannah, and was recorded in the census as Charlotte Pay, aged 15 and born in Kent.⁴
     In 1861 she was living at 18 John Street, Ramsgate, Kent^G, in the household of her father James [or John?] Pay, a shoemaker, and was recorded as Charlotte H Hobbs, housekeeper, a widow, aged 35, and born in St Peter's. Living with her was her son Thomas, aged seven. Also in the household were her unmarried sister Sarah F Pay, 26, and her widowed grandfather William Sackett, 89.⁵

Sarah Vanhear Pay, daughter of James Pay and Hannah Sackett, was baptized at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, on 19 October 1834.²
     In 1841 Sarah was living at St Peter in Thanet, Kent^G, in the household of her parents James and Hannah, and was recorded in the census as Sarah Pay, aged six and born in Kent.³
     In 1851 she was living at 26 High Street, St Peter's, Kent^G, in the household of her parents, James and Hannah, and was recorded as Sarah V Pay, unmarried, aged 16 and born in St Peter's.⁴
     In 1861 she was living at 18 John Street, Ramsgate, Kent^G, in the household of her widowed father James [or John?] Pay, and was recorded as Sarah F Pay, a milliner, unmarried, aged 26, and born in St Peter's.⁵
