Rev John Sackett MA, Prebendary of Lincoln, son of Rev John Sackett BD Oxf, MA Camb and Sarah Frisby, was baptized at Great Mongeham, KentG, on 29 September 1631.1 He died aged 49 in Braunston, LincolnshireG, in 1680. As far as is known he was unmarried.
John was admitted to Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, on 6 July 1647. He was awarded a BA degree in 1650-51 and an MA in 1654.2
A record of John Sackett in the Surman Index of Congregational ministers reads, "Presbyterian heretofore but now comformable. Mungeham Magna, Kent." The date of the item is difficult to read but may be 1668. If so, it would refer to this John. An earlier date would suggest the record referred to his father, who died in 1664.3
John was named as a beneficiary in his father's will made at Great MongehamG in 1664.4 He was left all his father's lands and tenements in St Peter and St John in Thanet, and was appointed executor of the will jointly with his brother Nathaniel.

Nathaniel Sackett, gentleman of Canterbury, Kent, son of Rev John Sackett BD Oxf, MA Camb and Sarah Frisby, was baptized at Great Mongeham, KentG, on 19 April 1636.1 He died in CanterburyG in 1682. He married at Thanington, KentG, on 25 November 1669, Ann Terry, daughter of Michael Terry.2,3 Ann was born about 1647.4
Nathaniel was admitted as a Freeman of the City of Canterbury in 1659. He was a Freeman by Redemption, meaning that he bought his freedom.5
Nathaniel was named as a beneficiary in his father's will made at Great MongehamG in 1664.6 He was left a sum of £100 and was appointed executor of the will jointly with his brother John.
