Edmund Sackett, son of Royal Sacket and Catharine Noble, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 28 March 1795.1,2 He died aged 74 in Cuyahoga County, OhioG, before 15 March 1870 (when his will was proved) and was buried at Brookmere Cemetery, Cleveland, Cuyahoga CountyG.3 He married on 20 November 1822, Anna Kentner.1,2 Anna was born in Lewis County, New York StateG, about 1802.4 She was living in Cleveland, OhioG, in 1891.5
     Edmund was listed in the census in 1820 and 1830 as a householder in Turin, Lewis County, New York StateG.6,7
     Edmund was assessed for tax on 92 acres of land valued at $493 in Parma, Cuyahoga County, OhioG, in 1836. He was taxed there on four cattle in 1839.8,9 In 1840 he was a householder in ParmaG.10
     In 1850 Edmund was living in ParmaG and was recorded in the census as Edmund Sackett, a farmer, aged 55 and born in Massachusetts. Living with him were his wife Anna, 48, and their children, Sarah, 18, and Estella, aged four.11
     In 1860 he was living in ParmaG and was recorded as Edmund Sacket, a farmer, aged 65 and born in Westfield, Massachusetts. Living with him were his wife Anna, 58, and their children, Sarah, 28, and Estella, 14.12
     Edmund made his will in ParmaG on 23 September 1862. He left the use of his farm to his wife Anna during her widowhood. After her death, the farm was to be sold, with the proceeds going equally to their daughters, Melissa, Sarah, and Estella, after a $200 bequest to their granddaughter Anna Eldridge.13
