Daniel Sacket, son of Stephen Sacket and Eunice Ross, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 23 September 17901 and baptized at the Church of Christ, WestfieldG, on 11 November 1794.2 He died aged 33 in WestfieldG on 1 December 1823 and was buried at the Pine Hill Cemetery, WestfieldG.7,8 He married in WestfieldG on 16 October 1811, Tryphena Loomis, daughter of Justus Loomis and Tryphena Elmer.1,3,4,5,6 The marriage was also recorded in Suffield, Hartford County, ConnecticutG, on 20 November 1811.6 Tryphena was born in WestfieldG on 10 October 1789.7 After Daniel's death, she married second in WestfieldG on 27 November 1833, Asa Hodge.9 She died aged 59 in WestfieldG on 10 September 1849 and was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, WestfieldG.7,10
     Daniel was listed in the 1820 census as a householder in WestfieldG. The household comprised one male 26-44, one female 26-44, and four females under 10. These would have been Daniel, his wife Tryphena, and their daughters, Electa, Tryphena, Maria, and Julia.11
     Daniel's widow Tryphena was named as a beneficiary in Daniel's father's will, made at WestfieldG on 5 October 1829 and proved on 2 March 1830. She was to have that part of the farm previously occupied by Daniel (which was presumably still in her possession). Her father-in-law also left her his "great Bible", silver teaspoons, and a bed quilt.
     Widow Tryphena Sackett was listed as a householder in WestfieldG in 1830.12

Eunice Sacket, daughter of Stephen Sacket and Eunice Ross, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 25 April 17791 and baptized at the Church of Christ, WestfieldG, on 12 October 1783.2 She died aged 80 in WestfieldG on 19 August 18591,3 and was buried at the Old Burying Ground, WestfieldG.7 She married at the First Church, WestfieldG, on 4 May 1801, Erastus Grant, son of Alexander D Grant and Miriam S Sexton.1,4,5,6 Erastus was born in WestfieldG on 28 July 1774.7 He died there on 26 November 1865 and was buried at the Old Burying GroundG.7
     Eunice was named as a beneficiary in her father's will, made at WestfieldG on 5 October 1829 and proved on 2 March 1830. She was to receive a sum of $600 plus her share of the estate already received. Eunice's husband Erastus was sole executor of the will.
