Orsett.
An interesting wedding took place at the Parish church on Tuesday, when Miss Ada Sackett, elder daughter of Mr. W.H. Sackett, was married to Mr. Herbert Mottram Perkins. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. E.J. Baker, of Christ Church, Southwark, the Rector of Orsett, the Rev. W.C. Bishop, and the Rev. E. St. Croix, Orsett. The church was filled with a large and fashionable gathering. The bridesmaids were Miss Edith Sackett, Miss Asplin, and the Misses Magdalen, Gwendolin and Lois Quilter. Mr. Percy Perkins acted as best man. A reception was subsequently held at the Institute. The presents made a magnificent display.
