Henry Sackett, farmer of Northdown, St John in Thanet, son of Henry Sackett and Mary Sandwell, was born in St John in Thanet, KentG, on 1 June 1776 and baptized there on 23 June 1776.1 He died aged 702 and was buried at St John in ThanetG on 24 December 1846.3 He married at St Peter in ThanetG on 12 October 1804, Mary Brasier, his second cousin, daughter of John Church Brasier and Mary Sackett.4 Mary Brasier was born in St Peter in ThanetG on 15 April 1784 and baptized there on 9 May 1784.5 She died aged 576 and was buried at St John in ThanetG on 3 February 1841.7
In 1841 Henry was living at West Northdown, St John, MargateG, in the household of his son Henry, and was recorded in the census as Henry Sackett, of independent means, aged 65 and born in Kent.8
