Leander Dorman Sackett, son of James Calvin Sackett and Anna Eliza Harris, was born in St Francis, Cheyenne County, KansasG, on 17 November 1896.1,2 He died aged 81 in Multnomah County, OregonG, on 26 March 19782,3,4,5 and was buried at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Multnomah CountyG.8,9 He married first in Milbank, Grant County, South DakotaG, on 17 October 1919, Anna Jane Otley, daughter of Francis William Otley and Katherine Verhuel.6 Anna was born in Le Mars, Plymouth County, IowaG, on 6 December 1895.10,11 Leander and Anna were apparently divorced in the early 1920s. She married second at Aberdeen, Brown County, South DakotaG, on 16 December 1922 Henry O Hanson.12 Anna died aged 95 in Big Stone County, MinnesotaG, on 9 December 199013 and was buried at Mound Cemetery, Ortonville, Big Stone CountyG.8 Leander married second in Le Mars, Plymouth County, IowaG, on 30 December 1925, Imogene Hazel Fletcher, daughter of Earl Richmond Fletcher and Margaret Brunton.7 Imogene was born in Craig, Burt County, NebraskaG, on 2 February 1902.10,8 She died aged 90 in Washington County, OregonG, on 25 March 199214 and was buried at Willamette National CemeteryG.8,15

Leander served from 23 September 1917 as a Private in the US Army during the First World War. He was released from service on 12 May 1919.9,5
In 1920 he was living at Second Street, Ortonville, Big Stone County, MinnesotaG, and was recorded as Leander D Sackett, a newsagent, head of household, aged 26 [actually 23]. He rented his home. His wife Anna, 25, was living with him. There was also a male lodger in the household.17

Edgar Harris "Ned" Sackett, son of James Calvin Sackett and Anna Eliza Harris, was born in Burt County, NebraskaG, on 22 August 1908.1 He died aged 73 in Washington County, NebraskaG, on 5 September 19812,3,4 and was buried at Tekamah Cemetery, Burt CountyG.12 He married first in Springfield, Sarpy County, NebraskaG, on 7 June 1927, Louise Agnes Walsh.5,6 Louise was born in NebraskaG on 2 April 1908.13,14 She died in childbirth aged 19 on 20 February 192815 and was buried at Tekamah CemeteryG.12 He married second in Cuming County, NebraskaG, in 1929, Ina Emily Flores, daughter of Howard Robert Flores and Sarah Emily Pearce.7 Ina was born in ColoradoG on 4 July 1910.16 She died aged 23 on 16 July 1933 as a result of an auto accident17 and was buried at Storm Lake Cemetery, Buena Vista County, IowaG.12 He married third in Sarpy County, NebraskaG, in 1934, Agnes Lorain Lockhart, daughter of Charles Dudley Lockhart and Retta Ann Rumbley.8 Agnes was born in Decatur County, NebraskaG, on 14 October 1916.16 Edgar and Agnes divorced sometime before 1943. She later married James David Farris. She died aged 88 on 24 September 2005.18,19,20 He married fourth in Sarpy County, NebraskaG, in 1943, Darleen Elaine Petersen, daughter of Thorvald W Petersen and Julia A Christiansen.9 Darleen was born in Washington County, NebraskaG, on 28 February 192321 and baptized at Orum, Washington CountyG, on 24 June 1923.22 She died aged 82 in Herman, Washington CountyG, on 7 April 2005.23,24 He married fifth in Grand Island, Hall County, NebraskaG, on 13 August 1952, Zeada Pearl Jones, daughter of William Ira Jones and Ethel C Hensley.10,11 Zeada was born in Cliquot, Polk County, MissouriG, on 20 October 1922.25,16,26 She died aged 74 on 17 September 199727,28 and was buried at Blair Cemetery, Washington CountyG.12

Ned Sackett and Louise Walsh Married
Ned Sackett and Miss Louise Walsh were married Monday, June 7th, at Springfield, Nebr. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. L. F. Miller, and the groom a son of Mr. and Mrs. Cal. Sackett. Both young people are well and favorably known in Tekamah, where they are popular with the younger set. Mr. Sackett has been employed in the Marsh barber shop while his bride was one of the operators in the Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. exchange. Mr. Sackett was graduated from the Tekamah high school this spring.
The young couple will make their home in Lyons, where Mr. Sackett has a position in a barber shop. The many Tekamah friends extend congratulations.

Four Killed in Iowa Accidents
Four persons were killed and more than a dozen others were injured in Iowa accidents over Sunday.

Mrs. Sackett was killed when the car in which she rode with her husband sideswiped the rear of another machine near Dow City. The Sackett car was overturned and thrown into a ditch. Mr. Sackett was not seriously injured.

Mrs Agnes Farris, 73
Born Oct. 14, 1916, in Decatur, Neb., she was the daughter of Charles Dudley and Retta Anna Rumbley Lockhart. She first married Edgar Harris "Ned" Sackett. He later died. She later married James David Farris. He died in 1989.
Mrs. Farris was a dress buyer for Brandeis in Omaha, Neb., and for the May Co. in Denver and in California.
She was of the Presbyterian faith, and enjoyed playing bridge and social activities.
Survivors include one son, Ned L. Sackett of Daphne, Ala; one stepdaughter, Patricia Shamburg of Tekamah, Neb; four granddaughters; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Lockhart of Tekamah; three sisters, Florence Mae Palmer of Tekamah, Helen Matzen of Blair, Neb., and Bernice Jean Ericksen of Omaha.
Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and two brothers.
There will be no visitation. The body has been cremated.
The private family service for Mrs. Farris will be held at a later date.
Barr Memorial Chapel in Fort Madison is handling arrangements.
