Mahala A Sackett, daughter of Richard Jefferson Sackett and Lydia Barber, was born in Michigan^G on 16 August 1858.¹ She died aged 28 in Hastings, Barry County, Michigan^G, on 13 September 1886.¹ She married in New York State^G about 1875, Coleman Benjamin Cornish.¹

     In 1880 Mahala was living in Manchester, Ontario County, New York State^G, in the household of her widowed mother Lydia, and was recorded in the census as Mahala A Cornish, married, aged 21. Her children, Edwin, 4, and Alida, aged two, were living with her.³

Martha Nancy Sackett, daughter of Ashal Tyler Sackett and Frances Isabel Saunders, was born in Rushville, Yates County, New York State^G, on 21 September 1872.¹ She died aged 69 in Leighton, Allegan County, Michigan^G, on 26 December 1941¹ and was buried at Grandville, Kent County, Michigan^G.¹ She married in Benona, Oceana County, Michigan^G, on 21 December 1898, Albert A. Clark, son of Luther M. Clark and Emiline Clark.¹

Pearl Anna "Pearley" Sackett, daughter of Richard Jefferson Sackett and Ella May Johns, was born in Shelby, Oceana County, Michigan^G, on 19 May 1892.¹ She died aged 78 in Charlotte, Eaton County, Michigan^G, on 15 May 1971² and was buried at Meadowbrook Cemetery, Mulliken, Eaton County^G.⁴ She married in Hastings, Barry County, Michigan^G, on 16 April 1919, Homer Waldron, son of William R Waldron and Ella Forester.³ Homer was born in Coldwater, Branch County, Michigan^G, on 13 April 1895.^4,5,6,7 He died aged 71 in Mulliken^G on 7 October 1966 and was buried at Meadowbrook Cemetery^G.⁴

     In 1910 she was living in Homestead Township, Michigan^G, in the household of her parents Richard and Ella, and was recorded as Pearl A Sackett, a servant in a private household, aged 17.⁹
     In 1920 she was living in Carlton, Barry County, Michigan^G, in the household of her husband Homer Waldron, 24, a farmer, and was recorded as Pearl A Waldren, aged 27.¹⁰

Richard Jefferson Sackett, son of Thomas Jefferson Sackett and Lucina "Sina" Tyler, was born in Potter, Yates County, New York State^G, on 1 November 1823.¹ He died aged 39 on 15 September 1863¹ and was buried at Rushville Cemetery, Yates County^G.¹ He married in Yates County^G on 15 December 1846, Lydia Barber, daughter of Jeremiah Barber and Anna Van Zandt.¹
     In 1870 Lydia was living in Potter, Yates County, New York State^G, with her second husband Cephas Isham, 55, a stonemason. She was listed as Lydia Isham, aged 48. Living with them were her children, Anna, 18, Minnie, 11, and Richard, aged six.²
     In 1880 she was living in Manchester, Ontario County, New York State^G, and was listed as Lydia Sackett, a carpet weaver and laundress, head of household, a widow, aged 57. Her daughter Mahala Cornish, 21, was living with her, with her children, Edwin, 4, and Alida, aged two.³

Richard Sackett was born say 1770.¹ His parents have not been identified. He married in Cummington, Hampshire County, Massachusetts^G, on 9 January 1794, Hannah Porter.²
     Richard is found in the records in Pittsfield, Berkshire County, Massachusetts^G, in 1791 and 1793, and in Worthington, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, in 1793.³
     He was taxed on real estate in Pittsfield^G in 1795.⁴
     Richard was listed in the 1800 census as a householder in Pittsfield^G.⁵

     In 1910 he was living in Homestead Township, Michigan^G, and was recorded as Richard J Sackett, a laborer in a veneer factory, head of household, aged 46. Living with him were his wife Ella, 35, and their children, Pearl, 17, Mary, 13, Minnie, 10, Richard, 3, and Edwin, aged nine months.¹⁰

Thomas Jefferson Sackett, son of Richard Sackett and Hannah Porter, was born in Pittsfield, Berkshire County, Massachusetts^G, on 10 August 1800.^1,2 He died aged 58 in Potter, Yates County, New York State^G, on 6 June 1859³ and was buried at the French Cemetery, Potter^G.³ He married in Yates County^G about 1822, Lucina "Sina" Tyler, daughter of Asahel Tyler and Sinah Watkins.³
     Thomas was listed in the 1840 census as a householder in Middlesex, Yates County, New York State^G.⁴
