Cordelia's obituary
Mrs Cordelia Healey, widow of the late John Healey, died at her home here last week Wednesday night of peritonitis, aged 69 years. Mrs Healey's death was sudden and unexpected as she was about and in New Hartford a day or so before her death. She was a devoted Christian of lovely disposition, and greatly attached to the church and its work. The funeral was the following Friday afternoon from her residence here and was largely attended, Rev M. H. Wright officiating. One son and four daughters survive her, Charles Healey and Mrs John Beckwith, New Hartford, Mrs Melville Barnes, this place, Mrs Will Beckwith of Massachusetts, and Miss Mabel Healey. The interment was in the South East cemetery.

Ephraim Sackett, son of Thomas T Sackett and Lucy Fellows, was born in ConnecticutG on 4 June 1824.1,2 He died aged 36 in Geauga County, OhioG, on 2 January 18611 and was buried at Maple Grove Cemetery, Thompson, Geauga CountyG.4 He married in Geauga CountyG on 24 December 1846, Betsey B Austin.1,3 Betsey was born in ConnecticutG in March 1823.2 She died aged 84 in Geauga CountyG on 23 March 1907 and was buried at Maple Grove Cemetery, ThompsonG.4,5
In 1860 Ephraim was living in ThompsonG and was recorded in the census as Ephraim Sackett, a farmer, aged 36 and born in Connecticut. Living with him were his wife Betsey, 37, and their children, Horace, 10, Adelia, 6, and Anna, aged four. Ephraim's sister Rhoda was living next door with her husband William Fellows.6
Ephraim made his will in ThompsonG on 31 December 1860. His wife (unnamed in the will) was to have control of his estate, real and personal, to provide for their children (also unnamed) during their minority. If she were to remarry before the children came of age, she and the children were each to have a one-third share (the two surviving children at the date of the will being Adelia and Anna). If his wife remained his widow until the children came of age she was to inherit all the estate.7
In 1870 Ephraim's widow Betsey was living in ThompsonG and was recorded in the census as Betsy Sackett, aged 47. Living with her were her children, Adelia, 16, and Anna, 14.8
In 1880 she was living in ThompsonG and was recorded as Betsey Sackett, aged 57, a widow. Living with her were her daughters, Adelia, 26, and Anna, 24.9
In 1900 she was living in ThompsonG in the household of her unmarried daughter Adelia, and was recorded as Betsey Sackett, aged 77, a widow.10
Betsey died intestate. Her daughter Adelia was appointed administratrix of the estate by the Geauga Probate Court on 25 June 1907. Heirs were Betsey's daughters, Adelia Sackett and Anna Pleuss. Real estate was estimated at $600 and personal estate at $100.7
