Doll Daisy Sackett, daughter of John Dempster Sackett and Sylvia A Wheelock, was born in Saranac, Ionia County, MichiganG, on 3 December 1863.1,2 She died aged 90 in Los Angeles, CaliforniaG, on 25 May 1954.3 She married about 1880, Charles W Fox.1
In 1870 Doll was living in Saranac, Ionia County, MichiganG, in the household of her parents John and Sylvia, and was recorded in the census as Dolly Sacket, aged six and born in Michigan.4
In 1880 she was living in Lowell, Kent County, MichiganG, in the household of her husband Charles, 23, an engineer in a lumber mill, and was recorded as Dorthy M Fox, aged 16.5
In 1910 she was living at Grayling Avenue, Narberth, Montgomery County, PennsylvaniaG, in the household of her husband Charles, 49, secretary of a Gas Company, and was recorded as Doll D Fox, aged 47. Living with them were their children, Ethel, 27, and Siddartha, aged twelve. There was a female servant in the household.6
In 1920 she was living at West 21st Street, Los Angeles, CaliforniaG, and was recorded as Doll D Fox, aged 56. She and her daughter Ethel, 35, were living at a lodging house.7
In 1930 she was living at West 37th Street, Los AngelesG, in the household of her husband Charles, 69, a gardener, and was recorded as Doll D Fox, aged 66. Their daughter Ethel, 40, was living with them.8
Dolly travelled to Europe in 1932, returning to New York on 9 September 1932 from Le Havre, France, on the SS President Roosevelt.9
