Hobart Joseph Sackett, butcher, son of Hobart B Sackett, was born in ConnecticutG in May 1860.1 He died aged 55 in New Haven, ConnecticutG, on 4 April 1916 and was buried at St Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven, New Haven CountyG.2 He married Mary A Ryan.1
     In 1900 Hobart was living in 1230 State Street, New HavenG, and was recorded in the census as Hobart J Sackett, butcher, head of household, aged 40 and born in Connecticut. Living with him were his wife Mary, 37, and their children, Eva, 14, William, 10, Hobart, and Charles, aged five.3
     In 1910 he was living in New Haven, ConnecticutG, and was recorded as Hobart Sackett, a butcher in a slaughter house, head of household, aged 57 [actually 50]. Living with him were his wife Mary, 47, and their children, Eva, 21, William, 19, Hobart Jr, 18, and Charles, 15. Also in the household was Mary's unmarried sister Katherine, 39.4
     In 1920 Hobart's widow was living in New HavenG and was recorded in the census as Mary A Sackett, head of household, a widow aged 58 and born in Connecticut. Living with her were her unmarried children, Eve, 28, and Charles, 24.5
