George Edward Sackett, farmer, son of Henry Clay Sackett and Bathsheba Perrin, was born in Fenelon Falls, Victoria County, Ontario, CanadaG, on 29 October 18641 and died aged about 80 in Ontario, CanadaG, in 1945.2 He married at Coboconk, OntarioG, on 20 December 1898, Henretta "Etta" Black, daughter of Robert Albert Black and Mary Elizabeth Perrin.3 (George gave his age at marriage as 28; he was 34. Etta stated her age to be 22; she was 18.) Henretta was born in Glenarm, Victoria CountyG, on 4 February 18804 and baptized at St. George's, Cameron, Victoria CountyG, on 8 October 1882.4 She died on 11 March 1957.4
     In 1881 George was living in Fenelon, Victoria County, Ontario, CanadaG, in the household of his parents Henry and Bathsheba, and was recorded in the census as George E Sackett, a farmer, an American, aged 17 and born in Ontario.5
     In 1901 he was living in FenelonG and was recorded as George Sackett, head of household, married, aged 36, born 29 Oct 1864. Living with him were his wife Henretta, 21, and their daughters, Mary, 2, and Bathsheba, aged nine months.6
     In 1921 he was living in FenelonG and was recorded as George Sackett, a self-employed farmer, head of household, married, aged 56 and born in Ontario. He owned his home. Living with him were his wife Henrietta, 42, and their children, Etta, 17, and Ena, aged 14.7
