Alfred Miller Sackett, son of Milton H Sackett and Anna Sherwood, was born in OhioG on 18 July 1844.2 He died aged 73 in Weld County, ColoradoG, on 8 August 1917 and was buried at Prairie View Cemetery, Weld CountyG.2 He married in 1867, Electa M Buroughs.2
     In 1850 Alfred was living in Berlin, Delaware County, OhioG, in the household of his parents Milton and Anna, and was recorded in the census as Alford Sackett, aged six and born in Ohio.3
     In 1880 Alfred was living in Berlin, Delaware County, OhioG, and was recorded in the census as Albert [sic] Sackett, head of household, a tin ware salesman, married, aged 33 and born in Ohio. Living with him were his wife Electa, aged 33, and their children, Nancy aged ten, and George aged six. Also in the household was Stephen Buroughs, a single man aged 30, who would have been Electa's brother.4
