Elmer R Sackett, son of Christopher C Sackett and Annie Walls, was born in NebraskaG on 30 November 1875.1,2 He died aged 64 in Christian County, MissouriG, on 30 July 19403 and was buried at Payne Cemetery, Nixa, Christian CountyG.4 He married in Christian CountyG on 21 December 1893, Lillie May Hamilton, daughter of Benjamin Hamilton and Naoma Marr.5 Lillie was born in Dowagiac, Cass County, MichiganG, on 1 February 1878.1 She died aged 71 at the City Hospital, Springfield, Greene County, MissouriG, on 9 November 19496 and was buried at Payne Cemetery, NixaG.1
In 1880 Elmer was living in Township 93, Yankton County, Dakota TerritoryG, in the household of his parents Chrys and Annie Sackett, and was recorded in the census as Ellman Sackett, aged five.7
In 1900 he was living in Porter, Christian CountyG, and was recorded as Elmer Sackett, a farmer, head of household, aged 24. Living with him were his wife Lillie, 22, and their children, Floyd, 5, and Wayne, aged one (the children's names were transposed on the census.)8
In 1910 he was living at Main Street, Porter, Christian CountyG, and was recorded as Elmer Sackett, a farm laborer, head of household, aged 35. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Lillie, 34, and their children, Floyd, 15, Wayne, 11, Lizzie, 9, and Forest, aged one.9
Elmer completed a World War I draft registration card on 9 September 1918. He was then aged 42 and was a farmer. He was living in Nixa, Christian County, MissouriG, with his wife Lillie.10
In 1920 he was living in Porter, Christian CountyG, and was recorded as Elmer Sackett, a farm laborer, head of household, aged 44. He owned his home. Living with him were his wife Lillie, 42, and their children, Forest, 10, and Velma, aged seven.11
In 1930 he was living at South Douglas Street, SpringfieldG, and was recorded as Elmer Sackett, a laborer on the steam railway, head of household, aged 55. He rented his home. Living with him were his wife Lillie, 53, and their son Forrest, 20, and daughter-in-law Margaret, 20. There was also a female boarder in the household.12

Elmer Sackett, 65, died at his home in Nixa at 4 o'clock this morning. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Hunter, of Joplin; three sons, Floyd and Wayne, of California, and Forest, of Nixa; five sisters and a brother.
Funeral services will be held at the Nixa Church of Christ at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.
