Floyd Edward Sackett, son of Elmer R Sackett and Lillie May Hamilton, was born in Nixa, Christian County, MissouriG, on 18 February 1895.1,2 He died aged 72 in Springfield, Greene County, MissouriG, on 27 February 1967.3 He married in Caddo County, OklahomaG, on 28 September 1915, Catharine Haas.1
     In 1900 Floyd was living in Porter, Christian CountyG, in the household of his parents Elmer and Lillie, and was recorded in the census as Floid Sackett, aged one [actually five: Floyd and his brother Wayne's birth dates were transposed on the census] and born in Missouri.4
     In 1910 he was living at Main Street, Porter, Christian CountyG, in the household of his parents Elmer and Lillie, and was recorded as Floyd Sackett, aged 15.5
     Floyd completed a World War I draft registration card on 5 June 1917. He was then aged 22 and was a farm laborer. He was living in Lookeba, Caddo County, OklahomaG, and was married with one child.2

CLEVER — Floyd Edward Sackett, 72, Clever, died about noon Monday in St. John's Hospital, Springfield.
     He is survived by hie wife, Catharine; one son, Allen, Whittier, Calif; one daughter, Mrs. Odessia Worstine, Ontario, Calif; one sister, Mrs. Velma Girth, Clever; one brother, Forrest, Springfield; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Cantrell Chapel at Clever with Ben Boettcher officiating. Burial will be Friday at Binger, Okla.
