Amos Sackett, son of Joseph Sackett and ___ ___, was born in Panton, Addison County, VermontG, in about 1800.1 He died in MichiganG after 1880. He married first Lucinda Knickerbocker, daughter of Darius Knickerbocker and Prudence Ellsworth.1 Lucinda was born in VermontG in about 1801.1 She died in Pulaski, Sandstone Township, Jackson County, MichiganG.1 He married second at PulaskiG on 27 June 1849, Sally Burroughs.1 Sally was born in New York StateG in about 1800.1 She died before 1880.1
     Amos was listed in the 1830 census as a householder in Carlton, Orleans County, New York StateG.2 In 1840 he was a householder in York, Washtenaw County, MichiganG.3
     In 1880 Amos was living in New Boston, Wayne County, MichiganG, and was recorded in the census as Amos Sacket, a farmer, head of household, aged 80 and born in New York. He was recorded as single although he was by then twice widowed. Living with him was his daughter Prudence, aged 49.4
