Sarah Ann Sackett, daughter of Charles Sackett and Esther Haradine, was born in Kennington, Lambeth, SurreyG, in 18671 and baptized at St Mary's Church, LambethG, on 9 February 1868.2 She married at St John's Church, Brixton, SurreyG, on 24 March 1886, Thomas Henry Wilkes, son of Thomas Peter Wilkes.3,4
     In 1881 Sarah was living at 6 Pleasant Place, Lambeth, SurreyG, in the household of her father Charles, a general labourer., and was recorded in the census as Sarah Sackett, a scholar, aged 14, and born in Kennington, Surrey.5
