Charles Oliver Sackett, son of Oliver Patch Sackett and Elsie Turner, was born in Copley, Summit County, OhioG, on 6 June 1859.1,2 He died aged 79 in Hamilton, Caldwell County, MissouriG, on 4 May 19393,4 and was buried at Packard Cemetery, Cameron, Clinton County, MissouriG.5 He married in DeKalb County, MissouriG, on 7 May 1885, Caroline Adell "Carrie" Green, daughter of Ira W Green and Ada Bacon.1,2,6 Caroline was born near Racine, WisconsinG, on 21 August 1860.2 She died aged 69 in HamiltonG on 8 November 19297 and was buried at Packard CemeteryG.5
In 1860 Charles was living in CopleyG in the household of his parents Oliver and Elsie, and was recorded in the census as Charles D Sackett, aged one and born in Ohio.8
In 1870 he was living in CopleyG in the household of his parents Oliver and Elsie, and was recorded as Charles O Sackett, aged ten and born in Ohio.9
In 1880 he was living at Grand River, DeKalb County, MissouriG, in the household of his father Oliver and stepmother Mary, and was recorded as Charles O Sackett, a farm laborer, aged 21.10
In 1900 he was living at Grand RiverG and was recorded as Charles O Sackett, a farmer, head of household, aged 40. He rented his farm. Living with him were his wife Carrie, 39, and their sons, Loy, 14, and Arthur, aged twelve.11
In 1910 he was living at Grand RiverG and was recorded as Charles Sackett, a farmer, head of household, aged 50. He owned his home on a mortgage. Living with him were his wife Carrie, 49, their sons, Loy, 23, and Arthur, 21, and Arthur's wife Eva, 24. Charles was the 1910 census enumerator for Grand River Township.12
In 1920 he was living in Hamilton, Caldwell County, MissouriG, and was recorded as Charles O Sackett, a farmer, head of household, aged 60. He owned his home free of mortgage. Living with him were his wife Carrie, 59, and their son Loy, 33.13
In 1930 he was living in Hamilton, Caldwell County, MissouriG, and was recorded as C O Sackett, a farmer, head of household, a widower, aged 70. His granddaughter Frances Sackett, 18, was living with him.14

Former Resident Dies
Charles O. Sackett, 79, passed away Friday at the home of his son, Arthur Sackett, in Hamilton. Funeral services were held at Hamilton Sunday afternoon conducted by the Rev. W. D. McCulley, and burial was made by the side of his wife in Packard cemetery.
Mr. Sackett for many years, was a resident of Garden Prairie community northwest of Cameron, but for the past several years had made his home south of Hamilton. Besides the son at Hamilton he is survived by another son, Attorney Loy Sackett of St. Louis.
