Alfred George Sackett, son of Francis "Frank" Sackett and Jane Elizabeth Miller, was born in Ramsgate, KentG, in 18681,2 and baptized at St George's Church, Ramsgate, KentG, on 25 October 1868.3 He died aged 40 in Camberwell, LondonG, in 1909.4 He married at Holy Trinity, RamsgateG, on 13 May 1888, Annie Marion Budge.5,6
In 1871 Alfred was living at 12 Bristol Place, Ramsgate, KentG, in the household of his parents Francis and Jane, and was recorded in the census as Alfred G Sackett, aged 2, and born in Ramsgate.7
In 1881 he was living at 143 High Street, RamsgateG, in the household of his parents Francis and Jane, and was recorded as Alfred George Sackett, aged 13 and born in Ramsgate.8
In 1891 he was living at 14 Meeting Street, RamsgateG, and was recorded as Alfred G Sackett, a plumber, head of household, married, aged 23 and born in Ramsgate. Living with him were his wife Annie, 23, and children, Alfred, 2, and Sidney, aged 9 months.9
In 1901 he was living at 329 Kennington Road, Lambeth, LondonG, and was recorded as Alfred Sackett, a self-employed paper hanger, head of household, married, aged 32 and born in Ramsgate. Living with him were his wife Marion, 32, their children, Alfred, 12, Sidney, 10, and Ida, 8, and a niece, Hilda Sackett, aged ten.10
Alfred and his brother James proved their father Francis's will on 7 April 1902. His estate was valued at £289.
