Charles William Sackett, farmer of Walworth County, Wisconsin, son of Elisha Shepard Sackett and Maranda Hall, was born in Ashtabula County, OhioG, on 11 December 1843.2 He died in Beloit, Rock County, WisconsinG, on 24 September 1926.2 He was buried at the Mt Philip Cemetery, Allen's Grove, Walworth County, WisconsinG, on 26 September 1926.2 He married at Allen's GroveG on 3 January 1864, Katherine Elizabeth Van Buren, (1846-1920.)2
     In 1880 Charles was living at Darien, Walworth County, WisconsinG, and was recorded in the census as Charles Sackett, head of household, married, a farmer, aged 36 and born in Ohio. |Living with him were his wife Kate, aged 34 and born in New York State, and his son Sherman, aged 16.3
