Sherman Marcellas Sackett, a carpenter of Walworth County, Wisconsin, son of Charles William Sackett and Katherine Elizabeth Van Buren, was born in Allen's Grove, Walworth CountyG, on 19 November 1864.2 He died in Geneva, Walworth CountyG, on 11 September 1942.2 He was buried at the Mt Philip Cemetery, Allen's GroveG, in September 1942.2 He married at Turtle Township, Rock County, WisconsinG, on 11 December 1895, Teresa Russell, daughter of George Wayne Russell and Margaret Gourlay.2 She was born in November 1872. They were divorced in 1902.2
     In 1880 Sherman was living at Darien, Walworth County, WisconsinG, and was recorded in the census as Sherman Sackett, aged 16 and born in Wisconsin, son of Charles Sackett.3
