Samuel Sackett, son of William Sacket and Olive Dean, was born in Westfield, Hampden County, MassachusettsG, on 17 October 1790.1,2,3 He died aged 55 in Martinsburgh, Lewis County, New York StateG, on 12 March 1846 and was buried at West Martinsburgh, Lewis CountyG.4 He married in about 1814, Sarah Wright.5 Sarah was born in MassachusettsG on 25 October 1791.6 She died aged 71 on 29 October 18626 and was buried at Saranac Cemetery, Ionia County, MichiganG.6
     Samuel served as a Drummer in the 101st Regiment, New York Militia, in the War of 1812. His brothers, William and Marvin, served in the same regiment.7
     Samuel was listed in the 1820 census as a householder in Lowville, Lewis County, New York StateG.8 In 1830 and 1840 he was a householder in Martinsburgh, Lewis CountyG.9,10
     In 1855 Samuel's widow Sarah, aged 64, was living with her son John and daughter-in-law Sylvia in Mexico, Oswego County, New York StateG.11
     In 1860 Samuel's widow Sarah, aged 61 [actually 68], was living with her son John and daughter-in-law Sylvia in Boston, Ionia County, MichiganG.12
