John W Sacket, son of Aaron Sacket and Dorcas Clark, was born in Fayette County, PennsylvaniaG, on 7 June 1793. He died in Hanover Township, Butler County, OhioG, on 25 January 1837.2 He married on 14 June 1814, Elizabeth Bates. She was born on 11 March 1789. She died on 5 September 1854.
     In 1850 John's widow Elizabeth was living in Burlington, Des Moines County, IowaG, and was recorded in the census as Elizabeth Sackett, aged 61. Living with her were her children, David, 28, Martha, 23, Aaron, 21, and Christopher, aged 18.3
