William Sackett, son of Azariah Sackett and Elizabeth Young, was born in OhioG in 1799.1,2 He died aged about 61 in Putnam County, OhioG, on 1 December 1860 and was buried at Harman Cemetery, Gilboa, Putnam CountyG.2 He married in Franklin County, OhioG, on 31 December 1822, Rachel Lisle, daughter of John Lisle and Rachel Irwin.1,3 Rachel was born in Franklin County, OhioG, in 1805.2 She died aged 44 in Putnam County, OhioG, on 7 January 1849 and was buried at Harman Cemetery, GilboaG.2
William was listed in the 1840 census as a householder in Ottawa, Putnam County, OhioG.4

754. Jonathan Y. Sackett, 1804–1880, of Lancaster, Fairfield County, Ohio, and of Ottawa, Putnam County, Ohio, son of (282) Azariah and Elisabeth Young Sackett, was married in 1832 to Rachel Wells Lusk. He migrated to Putnam County, O., in 1833, and there entered a half section and purchased 260 acres of land, which he turned into a productive farm, on which he resided to his death in 1880. Mr. Sackett, in addition to farming, practiced law, and for several years was an Associate Judge of Putnam County Court.
